“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”

In Loving Memory of Tyler Kobuszewski

2000 – 2014

Tyler Robert Kobuszewski, 13, of Camillus, passed away on August 11, 2014 at home. Born in Syracuse, he attended East Hill and Stonehedge Schools in the West Genesee School District and was enrolled at Solvay BOCES. Tyler’s favorite toys were stuffed animals, balls, bath toys. Tyler’s many interests included swimming, trampoline bouncing, swinging, boating, ATV, singing, walks, and the outdoors. He also loved Christmas, being read to, and spending time with his family.

What did we learn from Ty? To laugh and keep life simple, be happy, and smile. What do we miss most? Ty’s regular reminder to keep everything in perspective

Surviving are his parents, Frank and Kathleen Kobuszewski Jr.; brother, Collin; paternal grandparents, Frank and Elaine Kobuszewski Sr. of Warners; maternal grandmother, Ann Schattner of Camillus; maternal grandfather, Bob (Nancy) Schattner of Skaneateles; great-aunt, Carol Schattner of Syracuse; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins.

We celebrate the life of Tyler Kobuszewski with the reprint of this poem written by his brother, Collin.

 “The Reasons We Smile”

We smile when you say “oh no” after making a mess
We smile when you ask for your 5th breakfast sandwich
We smile when you sing and whistle
We smile when you throw your stuffed animals all over the place
We smile when we hear your laugh
We smile when you pick out your favorite movie to watch
The neighborhood smiles when we take you on an ATV ride
We smile at how fearless you are with everything you do
We smile when you splash and swim
But most of all, we smile because we know you are in a
better place where you will continue to give people a reason
to smile; just the way you made us.

We love you Tyler.
