Our partners at the Epilepsy Foundation are offering a LIVE Facebook Event on Epilepsy Emergencies and Safety Precautions on Thursday, September 16th, 2021 at 4:00 PM EST.
Epilepsy emergencies can happen any time. Planning can lower the impact of these emergencies. Emergencies can be caused by seizures as well as non-seizure concerns like aspiration, falling, and drowning. Patients with rare, severe, or treatment-resistant (refractory epilepsy) may be at higher risk for emergencies.
This Facebook Live, brought to you by Neurelis, UCB, Greenwich Biosciences, and Zogenix, will explore seizure and non-seizure emergencies and will discuss preventative measures and strategies for staying safe across different settings. Education on risks of death, status epilepticus and SUDEP will be covered as well.
